- Take 1 cup of bottle gourd / lauki, grated.
- Provide 3 tbsp of coriander, finely chopped.
- Provide 1/2 tsp of ginger paste.
- Provide 1 of green chilli, finely chopped.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of sugar.
- Provide 1/4 tsp of turmeric / haldi.
- Use 2 tsp of oil.
- Get 3/4 tsp of salt.
- Provide 1 tsp of eno / fruit salt.
- You need of Tempting.
- Take 3 tsp of oil.
- Get 3/4 tsp of mustard.
- You need 1/2 tsp of cumin / jeera.
- Prepare 1 tsp of sesame / til.
- Provide 5-6 of curry leaves.
- Use pinch of hing / asafoetida.
Instructions to make Handvo:
- Firstly, soak rice, chana dal, toor dal, urad dal for 3-4 hours..
- Add curd and blend to a smooth but slightly coarse paste..
- Further add grated bottle gourd, coriander..
- Also add ginger paste, green chilli, sugar, chilli powder, turmeric, oil and salt..
- Mix well making sure the batter is slightly thick like idli batter consistency. now add eno / fruit salt and mix gently..
- Bake the handvo in over or cook on tawa.
