Before you jump to Fish Fry/Pakora recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about Keeping Track of Precisely what You Consume: How to Do It Correctly.

When you begin your diet one of the things you will learn right away is that trying to keep a food journal is very helpful. Tracking all of the meals you eat will help you figure out which foods you will be eating as well as which foods you are not eating enough of. For example, after maintaining a food log for a few days, you might see that you are not taking in very many vegetables but that you are consuming lots of sugar and bad carbohydrates. Writing all of it down can help you see exactly which parts of your diet plan really need to change as well as how much exercise you are going to need to do to make sure that you keep your caloric intake in check.

You should be very specific while you write down the things that you are eating. It is not adequate to list “salad” in your food record. Write down every one of the ingredients in the salad and also the type of dressing you used. You need to include the amount of the food you consume. “Cereal” just isn’t good, however “one cup Shredded Wheat” will be. Remember the more you eat of something the more calories you consume so it is vital that you list quantities so you know exactly how much of everything you’re eating and how many calories you need to burn.

What type of feelings are you in while you eat? Write it down! This helps you to show you whether or not you use food as a reaction to emotional issues. It also makes it possible to see clearly which foods you tend to choose if you are in certain moods. Many people will reach for junk foods whenever we are worried, angry or depressed and will be more likely to choose healthier options when we are happy or content. When you focus on how you eat during your different moods and mental states, you will be able to keep similar but healthier options around for when you need those snacks–you might also start talking to someone who can help you figure out why you try to cure your moods with food.
